Osama Hamadan, a senior leader of Palestinian resistance organisation Hamas said that the defence of Palestine was in fact defence of Pakistan because Israel understands that it cannot occupy Palestine completely without destroying the Muslim nations.

“Israel considers Pakistan a leading nuclear Islamic state that supports the oppressed Palestinian nation therefore defence of Palestine is tantamount to defence of Pakistan,” he said in a recorded message for International Palestine Conference held here at a local club. Palestine Foundation (PLF) hosted the conference.

“The condition of the region will change as soon as the message will be conveyed to all the 1.5 billion strong Muslim Ummah that the war on Palestine is war on Islam and 1.5 billion Muslims,” the Hamad official said.

He urged the Muslims to exert pressure on the Muslim governments so that they must play a due role to liberate Al-Quds and defend Palestinian cause because Al-Quds was not an issue of Palestinians alone but Al-Quds belongs to the entire Muslim Ummah.

Hamadan pointed out that thousands of Zionists were brought and settled around Al-Aqsa mosque under a conspiracy that is aimed at building Hekal-e-Sulemani.

He added that they wanted to change demographic position raising Zionist population by 90 percent so that the world public opinion could be deceived and wrongly convinced that the area had 90 percent Jewish populace.

“The resistance will not allow the plot of Zionist regime and their allies to succeed. We shall liberate Al-Aqsa and Al-Quds from the occupation of Zionist state Israel,” he vowed.

Referring to present situation of Gaza in the wake of Israeli invasion, he said, we believe that resistance is the only way to defeat Zionist regime and the occupation.

“The Muslim governments lack courage to raise their voice in support of the oppressed people of Palestine,” he said.

Hussain said that during the last 10 years, the world witnessed unwavering resistance of Hizbullah and Hamas for a just cause.

He announced people of Pakistan’s full support for Palestinian nation and said that Pakistanis would not withdraw their just support to Palestinian brothers under any pressure.

Prof Ghafoor said that an independent state of Palestine is right of Palestinian people. He said it is obligatory for the entire Muslim world to support the Palestinian people.

He further said People of Pakistan have been supporting Palestinian people in their freedom movement.

He demanded the international justice organisation to punish Israel for criminal and illegal occupation of Palestine. He warned that nobody else would be saved from the Israeli atrocities if the Zionist regime was not punished for its ferocious activities against Palestinians.

The PML-N’s Senator Khan said that Hamas was the only hope for freedom of Palestine. He said Palestine issue needs sincerity and practical support from the Muslim nations and governments.

PTI’s Dr Alvi said that without a stronger position of Muslims, the issue of Palestine would not be resolved. He said Muslims shouldn’t beg for justice but make it clear to the world that justice delayed is tantamount to justice denied and Palestinians are being denied justice since the last 61 years.

Jaffaria Alliance’s Allama Kumaili said that war against terrorism was basically a war against the Muslims. He said this war’s hidden aim is to make greater Israel in the heart of Islamic world.

He said that the triumph of Hizbullah and Hamas revived the hope among Muslims.
